Pumpkin Smash

Don’t let your pumpkins haunt a landfill! Join the LES Ecology Center at La Plaza Cultural Cultural-Armando Perez for Pumpkin Smash 2025. Bring your pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and gourds for a smashing good time! Enjoy light refreshments and family-friendly activities! Smashed pumpkins will be transformed into compost, helping to rejuvenate soils in parks and green spaces. In addition, enjoy the following fun, family-friendly activities: Earth Loom Weaving Painting with Food Scraps Light Refreshments Live Music by Kicki & The Fellas …and more! If your pumpkin is still edible, we encourage you to find a tasty recipe that utilizes the entire pumpkin! Can’t make it? Bring your jack-o-lanterns to one of LES Ecology Center’s food scrap drop-off sites. FREE. Registration recommended; drop-ins welcome! This event is rain or shine and will proceed in light rain. In the case that there is inclement weather, LES Ecology Center notifies registrants via their Eventbrite page and on social media.
